SHARE A NEVER CHANGING GOD
WITH AN EVER CHANGING WORLD
As I have mentioned to you all before, I am involved in a non-profit organization called LOVE, INC. (Love In the Name of Christ). This article came from our most recent newsletter update and thought you would be blessed to see how God can work in any place, through any circumstances, and through anyone. That includes you and I. Being a part of LOVE, INC, has helped me to be more aware of the needs of those who are trying to get back on their feet, to be productive in their lives, to learn how to parent, and how to help them do this with confidence, integrity, and pride. The most amazing part is watching when I can see God working in their lives.
It has been difficult for LOVE, INC, to service those who need help during the pandemic, however, God has continued to bless and enable us to continue the calling He has given us to do, but in a smaller way. As things are opening up we expect the needs will increase. If you are wanting more information on who LOVE, INC is, their mission to bring Christ to those who need a hand-up by being His hands and feet, check out under the “Resources” tab on this blog. If you would like to get involved in some way, call the number or email under resources. You can also leave me a message or comment at the end of this blog.

BAIT AND SWITCH
He called hoping to get some items for his girlfriend who was entering recovery with her 6 year old son in a few days. She had finally broken down after she was confronted for her drug abuse. Tina, a Love INC volunteer told Don that we would not be able to get the items that quickly, but he could come and shop at the CARE Pantry for personal hygiene items for her. He thanked Tina, but was anxious to find the items she needed and hung up. A couple of hours later, a young man walked into Love INC’s Bridge of Hope Center, introducing himself as Don. Tina, greeted him and showed him the Pantry. While he shopped for personal care items, he shared what a rough week it had been, having to confront his girlfriend, struggling to stay focused on his own life and not losing hope.
Tina prayed with Don, sharing that Jesus Christ cares for him and his girlfriend and that He would walk with them through their troubles. Don began to weep, when he calmed down, he told Tina that meant more to him than anything he could have received, he would share the prayer with his girlfriend and left with a bag of CARE pantry items and an awareness of God’s love through Christ.
